Baqueira plans to open on 28 November. Google takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to notice changes to a website, so the time to get it ready is now, not opening week.
To get your hotel's website ready for ski season, update four things before opening day: winter dates and prices written as text, a winter page that answers what skiers ask, your Google profile, and a request for Google to re-read the pages you changed.
1. Winter dates and prices, as text
If your winter rates live in a PDF or an image, neither Google nor an AI assistant can quote them. Write them on the page: price per night in high and low season, minimum stay over Christmas, whether breakfast is included. A concrete price is a fact that can be cited; "contact us" isn't.
2. A winter page with what skiers ask
The questions are nearly always the same: how many minutes to the slopes, whether there's ski storage, whether the resort bus stops nearby, whether there's covered parking, what time breakfast starts. Put each answer in one short sentence under its question. It is what an assistant finds easiest to extract, and it saves you the same messages every day in December.
Once it exists, link to it from your home page. A page nothing links to takes longer to be found.
3. Your Google profile, up to date
Load special hours for Christmas and New Year, swap the main photo for one with this winter's snow, and check your attributes. We go through it step by step in what to put on your Google profile if you run a mountain business.
4. Ask Google to come back
According to Google's own documentation, recrawling a page can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. In Google Search Console you can request it page by page with URL Inspection, or resubmit your sitemap if you changed several. Leave it until opening week and the first searches may still see last winter's prices.
The order
If you only have one afternoon: prices as text, and the request to Google. Everything else can wait a week; those two can't.
