Get the AI to name you.

GEO means getting AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews to name and cite your business when someone asks them. SEO aims for a place in a list. GEO aims to be the answer.

What GEO is

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: optimising your online presence for engines that generate answers, not just lists of links. When someone asks "where can I eat well in Vielha?" or "which ski school in Baqueira is good for kids?", the assistant replies with a handful of names. GEO is the work of making yours one of them, and making sure what it says about you is right.

How it differs from SEO

One doesn't replace the other: GEO builds on good SEO. That's why we do both.

How we do it

  • ▸Server-rendered websites. If a page only exists after JavaScript runs, the system deciding whether to cite you may never read it. That's why we don't use website builders.
  • ▸Let the crawlers in. One badly written robots.txt file can block every assistant at once. It's the first thing we check.
  • ▸Structured data on every page. It's how you hand facts to a machine without room for misunderstanding.
  • ▸Prices, hours and details, published. Vague sales copy gives an assistant nothing to quote. Concrete facts do.
  • ▸One question per heading, answered in the first sentence. Assistants extract paragraphs, not pages.
  • ▸The same name, address and phone number everywhere. Website, Google profile, local directories. When details contradict each other, the machine doubts who you are, and when it doubts, it recommends someone else.
  • ▸Others talking about you. Official directories, local press and real reviews: the confirmation an assistant looks for outside your own site.

What we measure every month

We ask several assistants the same questions, in several languages, and record what they answer. Four numbers:

  • Presence: how many answers you appear in.
  • Share of voice: how often you appear compared with your competitors.
  • Citations: how often the assistant links to your website as a source.
  • Accuracy: whether what it says about you (prices, hours, services) is correct.

This page is built that way. Open the source code and check: it's the demonstration, not the brochure.
